How we go into our community at Soldier Bay
People talk about “going to church.”
The truth is, we—the people—are the church, and our job is to bring Christ to a hurting world.
At Soldier Bay Baptist, we’re committed to serving our local community in three significant ways:

Waccamaw School
Waccamaw School, the only K-8 school in the county, is our neighbor. We offer support and encouragement to Waccamaw families throughout the year through partnerships in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Red Ribbon Week, PTO involvement, Prayer Walks, See You At The Pole, and other school activities.

West Brunswick High School
Once students get to high school, we partner with them and their families through Athletics, Coaches Outreach Ministry, FCA, Event Sponsorships, Volunteering, Proctoring, and many other needs within the school.

Community Activities
The people of Ash have learned they can rely on Soldier Bay Baptist Church as a partner for community events and activities, such as coaching local sports teams, participating in the annual Dixie State Baseball playoffs, Disaster Relief, Chaplaincy, and Volunteer Fire & Rescue. These are just a few of the ways our church members regularly volunteer in our community.

One Another Ministry
The New Testament references “one another” more than 50 times. Christ taught us to love another, be in harmony with one another, accept one another, instruct one another, serve one another, and more. In coordination with the North Carolina Baptist Aging Ministry, our practical “one another” application is to care for senior adults and single people by installing smoke detectors in their homes.
